26/7/15. George Henry Crole, dairy farmer of Dumbalk, gave his consent for his son to join the army. Mrs. Jemima Crole also wrote a consent note.

11/1/17 He was in the British Expeditionary Force in the 8th Battalion
20/9/17 He was missing in action. He was declared killed in action on that day by a court of enquiry held in July 1918.
12/6/1928 His mother applied for a pension in Mirboo North
He left his estate to his mother Mrs. Jemina Crole of Dumbalk but his insurance policy money to his father
His effects were a scarf, cameo pendant and chain, table centre, razor, 2 brushes, tin box belt.
