3/6/16 He was evacuated to hospital to the 53rd Welsh Casualty Clearing Station Ferry Post.
11/6/16 He rejoined the 8th Light Horse at Railhead
19/8/16 He was evacuated to hospital General Hospital Port Said with tonsillitis
21/9/16 He marched out to the 8th Light Horse
22/12/16 He is evacuated to hospital at Masaid then the Stationary Hospital at Kantara
24/12/16 He had appendicitis and was transferred to the Australian General Hospital and then to a convalescent hospital
12/2/17 Returned to the 3rd Light Horse training regiment at Moascar.
22/4/17 Rejoined 8th Light Horse
24/4/17 He is evacuated to hospital
5/7/17 He is in hospital with gastro enteritis and then he goes to convalescent home.
9/8/17 He returned to the 3rd Light Horse training regiment
21/8/17 He returned to the 8th Light Horse
In October he is wounded and then detached to the 3rd Light Horse Headquarters
29/10/17 He returned to his unit
17/11/17 He is evacuated to the Australian General Hospital Abbassia Cairo
22/11/17 he had malaria and was then transferred to the Desert Mounted Corps Rest Camp. Port Said
14/9/18 He contracted influenza and pneumonia and has chronic dyspepsia
He is considered so ill he is to be sent home
16/10/18 He is dangerously ill
20/10/18 He died of disease, bronchial pneumonia caused by influenza
He was buried by Stanley Swain in Port Said military cemetery
His cousin Allen H Young was killed in France 20/10/18
