21/6/15 Mrs. Statham wrote for Sydney's death certificate

13/3/16 Mrs. Statham received a parcel via Thomas Cook
23/4/16 Mrs. Statham wrote asking about Syd's effects. She believed there should be a pay book, photos or hymn sheet. They wrote back and say if any items come to light they will send them. The money matters have been settled (as she indicated in her letter) and his pay book was sent to the military barracks in Melbourne
Mrs. Statham's address was Rowans Hotel Korumburra
In July 1918 she received a pension of 39 per annum and it was increased to 52. She received the pension from 31/7 /1915.
10/8/20 Mrs. Statham wrote a letter stating that her husband has been dead for 20 years. She is the next of kin for both her sons and was asked if there were a closer relation. Meaning is their father still alive.

19/3/24 Mrs. Statham received a letter stating that the CWGC will erect a permanent headstone on her son�s grave and that the headstone will have on it the regimental details and any verse or epitaph previously furnished in this connexion
Winifred Mary Statham (sister) died on 18/12/1958 in North Carlton. The public trustees administered her estate. They asked for death certificates for her brothers. The public trustees were informed that the brothers died on active service in WW1. They were the sons of John Walford Statham and Mary Cavanagh
His brother George William Statham who was in the 59th Battalion AIF died on August 14th 1916.
