Bernard Buckley, his father. He was the son of Bernard Edmund and Ada Kate Buckley of Buffalo

16 November 1942 at Puckapunyal as a result of a tank accident, aged 28.
He is buried in Springvale War Cemetery. He is on memorials in Leongatha and Tarwin Lower.
He lived in Buffalo on his family's property.
Paul had some success as a foot runner competing in gifts throughout Victoria.
Paul enlisted in September 1942 and was placed in the 13th Armoured Regiment. He had been training at Puckapunyal for around 9 weeks when he was killed in a tank accident.
The following appeared in The Age
Five of the seven occupants of a General Grant training tank
were killed when the tank overturned near Melbourne.
Two other occupants escaped injury.
